Business durations rarely mean calendar days. A "5 working days" delivery SLA, statutory notice periods, and invoice payment terms all count Monday–Friday and skip public holidays, so a job started on a Thursday before a long weekend can legitimately land more than a week later on the calendar. This tool does that arithmetic for you rather than making you tick days off manually.
Both endpoints are inclusive, which matters for legal and contractual counting: a range from Monday to Friday of the same week is five working days, not four. If your contract counts from "the day after" an event, shift the start date forward by one before entering it. The public-holiday calendars span 20 countries and compute movable feasts like Easter correctly, but they are national holidays only. Regional days — a UK bank holiday observed only in Scotland, a US state holiday, a German Länder-specific feast — are not subtracted, so verify against your local calendar for anything legally binding. Pick "None" if you want to exclude weekends alone.
