Joining clips of different origins is trickier than it sounds because they may not share a sample rate or channel count. To produce a seamless, gapless result, this tool resamples everything to a common 44.1 kHz, 16-bit baseline before concatenating — the same standard CD audio uses — so a 48 kHz voice memo and a 22 kHz download stitch together without clicks or pitch jumps.
Output is WAV rather than MP3 for a technical reason: browsers can decode dozens of formats but only encode uncompressed PCM natively. WAV is therefore lossless but large — roughly 10 MB per minute of stereo audio. If you need a compact file to share, run the joined WAV through the audio converter afterward to produce an MP3.
One thing to plan around: clips are butted edge to edge with no crossfade, so any abrupt start or trailing silence in a source file carries straight into the join. Trim your clips cleanly first — the audio cutter is handy for shaving dead air — and reorder them in the list before joining so the sequence is exactly what you want.
