Frequently asked questions
- Will my formulas, formatting and charts survive?
- Yes — formulas are evaluated to their current values, cell formatting is honoured, and embedded charts are rendered as vector graphics. Macros are stripped because we don't execute VBA.
- Can I choose page orientation?
- We use the page setup baked into your workbook. If a sheet is set to Landscape A4 in Excel's Page Layout tab, that's what we'll output. Set it before uploading for full control.
- Are multiple sheets concatenated into one PDF?
- Yes — every visible sheet becomes one or more pages in a single PDF, in the order they appear in the workbook.
- What's the maximum file size?
- 20 MB upload, 60 second render. Workbooks with hundreds of sheets or millions of cells may time out — split the workbook in Excel first if so.
- Why a server tool when I can 'Save as PDF' in Excel?
- If you don't have Excel installed (e.g. on a Chromebook, an iPad or a server), or you need the conversion in a script, this gives you the same output without the licence.
