What we provide
Toolbox4Free provides a set of free, in-browser tools. We provide the tools "as is" and do our best to keep them working, but we make no warranties about fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
Acceptable use
You may use these tools for any lawful purpose, including commercial work. You agree not to:
- upload or process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction;
- attempt to disrupt or attack the site, our infrastructure, or other users;
- scrape the site at a scale that degrades it for others.
Your files
Almost all file processing happens in your browser. We do not receive your files and have no access to them. You retain all rights to your content.
The four Office-format conversion tools (PDF to Word, Word to PDF, PDF to PowerPoint, PowerPoint to PDF) are the exception: they temporarily upload your file to our server for conversion, with a maximum file size of 25 MB and a 60-second processing cap per file. Files are processed in memory and deleted right after — see our privacy policy for the full data flow. Use of these tools is subject to a fair-use rate limit (a small number of conversions per IP address per few minutes) so the service stays available for everyone; you agree not to script, automate or otherwise abuse them.
Intellectual property
The site's design, copy and logos are © Toolbox4Free. You may link to Toolbox4Free freely. The icons we use are from open-source libraries and remain under their original licences.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Toolbox4Free is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including loss of data. Always keep a backup of important files before processing them.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. Substantial changes will be highlighted on this page.
