Frequently asked questions
- How does the AI email reply generator work?
- You paste the incoming email, give a one-line intent (what you want to say), and pick a tone. The model writes a complete reply body — addressing the sender's points and following your intent — that you can copy into your mail client.
- Do I have to give a tone?
- No — it defaults to professional. You can pick from professional, friendly, confident, casual, formal, concise, empathetic and playful.
- What if I don't add an intent note?
- The model writes a sensible neutral reply that addresses the sender's questions or requests. Adding a one-line intent gets a much better result.
- Will it include a subject line?
- No — only the body. Email clients handle subject lines separately and most of the time the auto-generated 'Re:' is what you want.
- Will it always include 'Best,' as the sign-off?
- It uses 'Best,' by default for a neutral, modern professional close. Edit it to match your usual sign-off if needed.
- Should I send the reply as-is?
- Always re-read before sending. The model can occasionally misread a nuance, especially in long or emotionally charged emails.
- Does it know my name?
- No — sign your real name where the placeholder is, or replace 'Best,' with your usual signature.
- Is my email content stored?
- No. The incoming email and your intent are processed in memory and forwarded to OpenAI. Nothing is written to disk on our side and OpenAI does not use the request for training. Don't paste anything you'd be uncomfortable sharing with OpenAI.
- Can it reply in another language?
- Yes — paste the incoming email in any language and the model will reply in the same language. Quality is best in English.
- Is the AI email reply generator free?
- Yes. We cover the OpenAI API costs. Per-IP rate limits keep things sustainable for everyone.
